WordPress development
A WordPress site you edit yourself, without breaking anything.
I develop WordPress websites for businesses and professionals who need an editable website that is ready to grow. I organise pages, services, case studies and articles with blocks and fields you manage without touching code, whether it is a new build or a migration. You work directly with me, with scope and budget fixed in writing before we start.

What does the development of your WordPress website include?
Editable templates and blocks
I create reusable layouts so you can add new content without disrupting the website or its mobile version.
Reusable layouts for publishing new content without breaking the hierarchy, the spacing or the responsive behaviour. Templates and blocks are developed on WordPress, HTML, CSS and JavaScript with as few plugins as necessary, and the scope conversation defines how many templates are included before development.
Content model
I prepare the content types you manage, such as services, projects or resources, so you always add them the same way.
Fields, categories and relationships prepared for the services, projects or resources you actually manage. Pages, services, case studies and articles are organised with blocks and fields you can edit without touching code, and which content types and relationships are part of the project is agreed within the scope, before development.
Forms and integrations
I prepare forms and specific connections, with clear messages both when something fails and when everything goes well.
Lead capture, notifications and specific connections included in the proposal, with validation, error and success states. Each form tells the person filling it in whether a field is missing, whether the submission has failed or whether it has been completed. The integrations included are agreed before development, and special features are assessed as bespoke development.
Controlled migration
If you already have a website, we agree before the switch which content and URLs are kept.
When there is a previous website, the content, URLs and elements that must be kept are agreed before the switch. That conversation happens before development, and whether it is a new build or a migration, structure, performance and technical SEO are reviewed within the agreed scope.
Training and handover
I show you how to manage the website, hand over the access details and document how everything works.
Training session, access details, update criteria and documentation of how everything works. In the session I explain how to manage the website that has been built, and the level of autonomy you want over it is defined in the scope conversation, before development starts.
SEO foundation and performance
I review URLs, titles and loading so the website is a good starting point, without promising rankings.
URLs, titles, indexing and loading reviewed so that WordPress is a useful base for organic search and for future campaigns, without promising rankings. The review of structure, performance and technical SEO is done within the agreed scope, starting from as few plugins as necessary.
It starts from WordPress, HTML, CSS and JavaScript with as few plugins as necessary. The scope conversation defines templates, integrations, migration and level of autonomy before development.
A platform that works as one.

Real Google review by Jorge Méndez, of WAZO, about the development of their platform.
Jorge MéndezWAZODeveloping WAZO is not just about putting pages together. The product presentation needs to connect with the journey of someone looking to train. Making those parts work as a whole is what we value most in the technical work.
Five steps to a website you manage yourself.
Understand the starting point
You tell me what you publish, how you work and whether there is already a website to migrate.
Define scope and proposal
We agree templates, integrations, migration, level of autonomy and budget before development.
Shape content and structure
We define the content model: pages, services, projects or resources with their fields and categories.
Design, build and review
I build templates, blocks and forms with as few plugins as possible, and you review each milestone.
Launch and leave it ready
I publish, hand over access details and documentation, and a training session so you can edit it yourself.
Questions about WordPress development.
Price, timings, editing and what happens afterwards: what people usually ask me before we start a WordPress website.
How much does a WordPress website cost?
It depends on the scope: number of templates, content types, forms, integrations and whether a previous website has to be migrated. Before we start, you receive a fixed quote, and any change of scope is agreed in writing. Special features are assessed as bespoke development.
How long does it take?
It depends on the scope and on having the copy, images and logins ready. Templates, integrations, migration and level of autonomy are defined before development. Dates and milestones are set out in writing in the proposal before we start, and you review each milestone during development.
How is it paid?
Normally, 50% on accepting the quote and the remaining 50% once the website has been delivered. The quote fixes the scope in writing before we start, so you know what you are paying for and what it includes. If the scope changes during the project, the change is also agreed in writing before it is applied.
Who owns the website once it is finished?
You do: once it is paid for, the website is yours. You receive the access details and documentation of how everything works, plus a training session so you know how to edit and maintain it, so you can publish new content without depending on me.
What do you need to prepare the quote?
Your goal, the current website if there is one, the content you are going to manage (pages, services, case studies or articles), the forms or integrations you need and any important date. If something is not clear yet, I help you define it before fixing scope and price, including the level of autonomy you want over the website.
Will I be able to edit the website without touching code?
Yes. I organise pages, services, case studies and articles with blocks and fields that you manage from WordPress without touching code, and the templates are designed so that new content does not break the hierarchy, the spacing or the mobile version. In the training session I explain how to do it.
Why WordPress and not a hand-coded website?
WordPress fits when you need to edit content often, because it lets you do so without touching code. If your website is going to change little, it can also be developed with HTML, CSS and JavaScript alone. We weigh it up in the scope conversation, depending on how you work and what you need to publish.
Do you use many plugins?
As few as necessary. I start from WordPress, HTML, CSS and JavaScript and only add plugins when they are needed. When a special feature is not solved by a plugin, it is assessed as bespoke development and agreed in writing before building it, like the rest of the scope.
Can you migrate my current website to WordPress?
Yes. When there is a previous website, before the switch we agree which content, URLs and elements must be kept. Afterwards, in a migration as in a new website, structure, performance and technical SEO are reviewed within the agreed scope, so the move to WordPress is a controlled migration.
Can you add forms and connect the website to other tools?
Yes. Forms and specific integrations, such as lead capture and notifications, are included in the proposal with validation, error and success states, so the person filling in the form always knows what has happened. Which connections are included is agreed before development, and special features are assessed as bespoke development.
Do you guarantee I will appear on Google?
No. The website is delivered with a reviewed SEO foundation (URLs, titles, indexing and loading) so that WordPress is a useful base for organic search and for future campaigns. That improves the chances, but nobody can guarantee rankings, and I do not promise them.
What happens after it goes live?
The website is delivered editable and I explain how to manage it, with documentation of how it works. Maintenance, support or later improvements can be agreed separately, depending on what the project needs. If you want to add features later on, they are assessed as an extension of the scope, always in writing.
Tell me how you want to manage your website.
Send me your current website or your idea on WhatsApp and I review it personally to reply with a specific recommendation and the next step.
